Safeguarding, Anti-Trafficking and Child Protection Policy

The Hunger Project (THP) is committed to the human dignity of all people and thus does not tolerate any form of exploitation, abuse or harassment, whether verbal, physical or sexual in nature, anywhere in our organization or in our work. As children are particularly vulnerable, The Hunger Project (THP) makes special provisions for their safety and well-being.

Code of Conduct Policy

This policy ensures that professionalism, respect, tolerance, integrity, transparency and social justice are reflected in the interactions of all those who represent The Hunger Project (THP). It’s a set of guiding standards and principles that all representatives of The Hunger Project adhere to in practice and in spirit in all their decisions, procedures, actions and interactions.

Whistleblower Protection Policy

The Hunger Project (THP) requires directors, officers, and staff to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. Staff and representatives of the organisation must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling their responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Open Data Policy

To clearly state The Hunger Project’s organisational commitment to transparency, and clarify the principles that will guide our implementation. This policy applies to our global financial transfers, our program monitoring and evaluation data, and Hunger Project “work product” – our reports, analyses, our promotional materials, photographs and videos.

THPA Non-Development Activity Policy

The Hunger Project Australia is a part of a global, non-religious, non-government organisation working in rural and remote communities in Africa, India, Bangladesh and Latin America to end world hunger. The Hunger Project Australia provides funds, leadership, program oversight and governance for development activities undertaken by our entities across Africa, India and Bangladesh.

All activities funded by The Hunger Project Australia (THPA) are solely for the purpose of Aid and Development (see Definition section), as defined by the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct.
