Leadership Immersion Programs
The transformational leadership training programs we deliver include an experiential immersion component in one of the regions in which we work. The programs are based on the lessons from the village classroom – and an immersive experience offers your staff the opportunity to engage personally with our village partners, and understand how they overcome the obstacles they are faced with on a daily basis. Our trained facilitators assist your staff to distill these leadership lessons and apply them to their own personal and professional lives. The purpose of these programs is to drive cultural and behavioural changes, and shift the mindsets of management and staff – with the in-country element of the program enabling your staff and team to fast-track and deepen their learning process.
“The parallels between the work that McKinsey does and the work that The Hunger Project does are extraordinary. There are parallels between what it takes to change a culture in an organisation and what it takes to change a culture inside a village in the programme countries where The Hunger Project works. And what The Hunger Project is doing is world’s best practice.”
– MICHAEL RENNIE, GLOBAL LEADER – ORGANISATIONAL PRACTICE, MCKINSEY & CO

Case Study
In October 2011, Commonwealth Bank and The Hunger Project Australia entered into a partnership to create an ‘out of the box’ approach to cultural change within Corporate Financial Services (CFS) that is both long-term and sustainable. With the assistance of McKinsey & Co, we built a program to drive the cultural change and shifting of mindsets.
