Vivid Sydney Workshop and Panel
WE’RE PART OF VIVID SYDNEY IN 2016
For the first time ever, we are collaborating with Vivid Sydney and running our Vision to Action Workshop as part of Vivid Ideas. To coincide with World Hunger Day, on the afternoon of the 28th May at aMBUSH Gallery, Chippendale we will be hosting a very special Vision to Action Workshop & Panel Discussion.
THE JOURNEY OF VISION TO ACTION
Vision to Action Workshop & Panel Discussion for VIVID IDEAS SYDNEY kicks off with a three-hour interactive Vision to Action workshop (co-facilitated by Cathy Burke, Vice President and Global Leader, Partnerships for The Hunger Project and Glen Carlson, award-winning entrepreneur, speaker and co-founder of Key Person of Influence), incorporating some of the inspiring lessons learned from our village partners in Africa, India and Bangladesh. We will show you how these lessons about shifting mindsets can apply to you and your actions, and help to unlock your leadership, creativity and potential to live a bigger life.
Through this thought-provoking workshop session you will be encouraged to examine and build on a vision (or many) you have for your life. We will work through the actions that are required to achieve this vision and identify methods that will help you to commit to these actions. Though this process, you will discover that you have the ability and means to achieve everything personally and professionally that you want, to create the best possible life for you. This workshop creates the window of opportunity to do these things, to push through your self-limiting beliefs and finally achieve what you want to achieve.
HEAR FROM ENTREPRENEURS AND INNOVATORS
Following the workshop, there will be 45-minute panel discussion featuring an incredible line-up of inspirational speakers, including:
- Cathy Burke;
- Jack Delosa, Founder of The Entourage;
- Ben Lilley, Chairman & CEO of McCann Worldgroup Australia;
- Ben Doolan, founder & director of FivePointFour Meals;
- and other creative leaders and entrepreneurs.
You are invited to join the conversation with them about their vision and what it took to make it a reality.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND VISION TO ACTION
The Vision to Action workshop is inspired by the Vision, Commitment, Action (VCA) workshops that The Hunger Project run across Africa and Bangladesh with our village partners. The VCA’s are a key component to The Hunger Project’s innovative technology behind shifting the mindsets of people living in chronic hunger and poverty from resignation and despondency to optimism and empowerment, so that they can see that they have the power and agency to end their own hunger. This is the first – and most critical – step in the approach to creating sustainable and transformative change. To date over 4.1 million people across Africa and Bangladesh have participated in a VCA workshop.
